سایر داده‌های ثبت‌شده: شرح موضوع در منبع: From a report by Christopher Drage and Rozanne Sherris - During construction work at the rear of 2-6 Market Street Bingham (N.G.R. SK 704399) Mr W. The exact age of death could not be ascertained on account of the uneven toothe wear, but an age range of 30-45 is suggested. The larger brooch (dia. 5.1cm.) lay at the shoulder, the smaller (dia. 4.3cm.) at the hip. Although this type of brooch had a long currency, the plain roundsection hoop and the raised rectangular decoration of the pin indicate a 13th-14th century date. The North-south alignment of the grave and the lack of further burials suggest that this is not a grave of a Medieval Christian cemetery. The burial appears to have been concealed and may be the victim of a medieval murder. Note: The authors would like to thank W. Walker and the Bingham Police for informing them of the discovery, Mary Harman for a report on the skeleton, R. Alvey, M. Bishop, P. Dixon and A. MacCormick for commenting upon the finds. The brooches were conserved by Annette Wilson and drwn by Richard Sheppard.
